I hope everyone had a safe and fun 4th of July! So for the 4th we decided to check out the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton, CA. We’ve never been to that fair, so it was the perfect time to experience it. We arrived around 6pm, and it was still pretty hot! I had been indecisive earlier as to wear pants or shorts. I decided just to wear black comfy shorts and a high neck sleeveless crop top with a long sleeve button up around my waist in case I got cold. It was a wise decision because I did end up wearing it later in the night when it got chilly. I wore my Timberlands which were very comfortable to be walking in around the fair for 7 hours. 

The Pleasanton fair was very well set up and huge. There were SO many people there though, you couldn’t even walk straight without dodging people. When we got there we hadn’t ate all day, so I got a hot dog ($10 wtf), which wasn’t even that good (I only ate half). But we all know those fair prices ehh. I had the wristband to go on unlimited rides, but ended up only going a few rides. Most of the rides they had there went in circles, the kind that made me feel sick or dizzy. I went on a couple fun roller coasters, which I loved, bumper cars, a haunted train thing, farris wheel, and then one that got me a little dizzy where you are locked in a cage and it spins around. 

We did a lot of walking around- checking out the shops, artwork, games, and sightseeing they had there. At about 9pm they had fireworks there and we watched them for awhile. The fair was very nice, I had an ok time. Just way too many people of course, because it was the 4th of July. It didn’t die down until 11:30pm-12am!!! We left around 12 and we were all feeling a little nauseous and hungry. On the way back we saw from the freeway in Livermore that In-N-Out was still open, so we got some food. It was a long evening/night, but we had a good time, especially because it was last minute. Let me know how your 4th was!
