Open knit sweaters are my favorite piece to wear during those chilly days! The knit keeps me warm, even through the open knit material, and it dresses up an outfit to a T! If you wear your top off the shoulder, it really spices up an outfit and adds more detail. 

If I feel a sweater looks better off the shoulder, I will buy it one size up, so the neck area will be large enough to drop down my shoulder. In this particular Lauren Conrad Pointelle Scoop Neck sweater, I got it in size Small instead of X-Small for that reason. I also have this same exact sweater in an XS in the color Rose Cloud as well (which I’ve featured in this previous post.) I can’t wear it off the shoulder in the XS, so with this one I can. 

I paired the sweater with regular black leggings and knee high boots and headed off to my sisters early birthday lunch this past weekend in Los Gatos.
