It’s peanut butter and jelly time!
Too Faced Cosmetics recently came out with a new eyeshadow palette called Peanut Butter and Jelly, which is inspired by everyones most loved eyeshadow color ‘Peanut Butter‘ from the Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette. I’ve been wanting, no, needing, this palette before it was ever released! I thought the idea and packaging was just absolutely adorable, and just needed it! I was so close to purchasing it when Ulta had it released in advance for Platinum members for just one day, but decided against it. And thankfully I didn’t purchase it at that time, because my sister ended up getting this palette for my birthday less than a month after that fateful decision haha! I was sooooo excited when she got this for me, and I’ve been LOVING this palette just as much as I thought I would!
Packaging:
Packaging is absolutely adorable! It comes in a smaller tin (around 5in x 4in, same size as the other Too Faced palettes like the Natural Eyes, Boudoir Eyes etc.) with a magnetic closure. The background has peanuts everywhere and on top is a 3D slice of bread with peanut butter and jelly on it. Inside the palette contains a small mirror and the nine peanut butter and jelly themed eyeshadows.
Palette Details:
This palette retails for $36 at Ulta or the Too Faced website. It contains nine matte and shimmer shadows using antioxidant rich cocoa powder (like their other Chocolate Bar eyeshadows!), and of course does not contain real peanuts. The whole color scheme is peanut butter and jelly sandwich inspired, so all the colors are named in accordance. Details on the colors from Ulta are:
Shades:
- Bananas (soft peachy gold w/ fine gold shimmer)
- Extra Creamy (matte creamy beige)
- Jammin’ (dark chocolate w/ golden sparkle)
- Jelly (vibrant orchid)
- Nuts About U (matte brown w/ red undertones)
- Spread the Love (medium peach w/ gold sparkle)
- Peanut Brittle (metallic burnt orange)
- Peanut Butter (matte medium orange brown)
- Peanut Butter Cup (metallic golden bronze w/ gold sparkle)
Application:
Just like the Chocolate bar palettes, these shadows glide on smoothly, no fall out, and last all day. They blend amazing, and the colors are absolutely gorgeous. I would definitely be missing out if I hadn’t got this palette! It’s absolutely worth it and I’m in love! When I get ready in the morning this palette literally makes me hungry, because it really does smell like peanut butter and jelly. It’s such a unique little palette and this will be my go-to for travel as well!
Get My Look:
To get my look in the photos shown on this post, here is what I created:
1. Apply Extra Creamy all over the lid.
2. Apply Peanut Butter Cup on the center of the lid and inner corner.
3. Apply Peanut Butter in the crease blending towards the center of the lid.
4. Blend Nuts About U on top of Peanut Butter and the outer V.
5. Blend Jammin’ on the outer V of the lid blending towards the center of the lid.
6. Blend Bananas on the center of the lid into the other colors.
7. Use Spread the Love and Bananas to highlight the brow bone.
