One Amazing Dinner

1

I hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving with family or friends! This year was definitely one to remember! My mom had the best presentation ever – gorgeous gold themed glassware, plates, and bowls.

She also had a cute, clean typed name tag for each guest used as a napkin holder! Each couple had their significant other’s name on their tag as who they are thankful for. I absolutely loved this idea and thought it was very creative! My mom is so adorable for this!

She also had these little cards placed in our bowls for us to write what we are thankful for, which we wrote in before we ate and she read aloud.

She also had a table setup full of appetizers before the main course was ready – several different types of cheese, crackers, grapes, bread, artichoke dip, and salami meats. The full menu for the night was placed on the table in a nice classy way.

For Thanksgiving dinner we had chicken, ham, mashed potatoes, fried rice, brussel sprouts, string beans, and my favorite soup ever – the Filipino soup Sinigang! (Writing this is making my mouth water again!) The food was absolutely delicious, my mom and DB did such an amazing job (per usual).

For dessert we had the famous Hershey Kiss peanut butter cookies, all served on a cute cake stand. If you read my Christmas post from last year, you may remember we had these cookies at that time as well! Delicious!

It was a great Thanksgiving spent with my mom, DB, Joseph, Sabrina, and Tony. After we ate we hung out for awhile and watched the movie Sausage Party, which was a dumb but funny movie haha!

My sister and I planned to go Black Friday Shopping at midnight. Many stores opened at 6pm, but we wanted to spend the evening with the family. Around 11:30pm we headed out to Macys, Target, JC Penny, and Kohls. Honestly, we found the best deals and items at Macys and Kohls. Around 3:30am, Joseph texts me asking if we were home yet. I tell him we had just got to Kohl’s to shop more. And he replies “Dang, tweakers!” It was hilarious because we looked like crazy girls shopping in the middle of the night! haha! All the stores weren’t packed, since the rush was at 6pm, so it was nice shopping when there weren’t a lot of people. We literally shopped for 6 hours straight!

Last year you may remember me posting about some items I got from the Black Friday sales, but this year I literally didn’t buy anything for myself! Everything I bought was strictly Christmas gifts, besides one $5 thermal I bought for myself at Kohl’s. So unfortunately I don’t have any hauls to post, and I’m not sure if posting everyones Christmas gifts on here would be a good idea, haha!

For Thanksgiving (and Black Friday shopping) I decided to wear one of my favorite Forever 21 skirts, a bodysuit top, a Hollister cardigan, and my Steve Madden ballet flats. It was a cold night, but I knew shopping inside the stores it would get hot and stuffy, so my outfit definitely came in handy. I did change my shoes to knee high black boots for shopping, so I was covered up a little more, which worked out great.

Thank you to my mom and DB for all the effort they did in creating the most amazing Thanksgiving dinner! I had such an amazing time and Black Friday 2016 was a success! I hope you all did as well! Holiday season is here and I’m feeling festive! Up next, Christmas!!!!!
