As most of you know, I’m obsessed with handbags. Not only handbags, but ‘bags’ in general. Makeup bags, reusable grocery bags, plastic bags, paper bags, etc. There’s something about bags that I just love – especially when stores have cute bags and packaging, haha. That probably sounds weird, but it’s true.

I particularly love designer bags – and obviously Louis Vuitton is my favorite. I have a little LV collection going on now, and I basically have a bag for every occasion (which was my goal)!

I’ve always loved designer purses. I remember wearing my moms Prada and Gucci bags in high school. Designer bags are definitely my guilty pleasure. As I mentioned in my How To Afford Luxury Designer Items post, I don’t spend much money on anything else except bags. Most of my clothes and shoes are cheaper so I can put most of the money towards them. In my opinion, bags are a statement piece and can definitely make or break an outfit. If you choose the right ones, they can also be good investment pieces and you can always make your money back (or more) if you decide to sell.

Here I have a list of some of my favorite handbags for every occasion. They happen to all be LV (I guess this should have been titled ‘Favorite LV Bags for Every Occasion’?), but these are some of the bags I have in my collection at the moment.

 

Everyday Crossbody Bags (Shopping, Errands, Casual)

 

So we all need that perfect crossbody bag. These smaller bags are perfect to throw over your shoulder or swipe across your chest to be hands free. I feel more comfortable wearing them over my shoulder (as you can tell) but they can also be worn crossbody. I love to wear these bags while shopping or running errands, when I know I won’t be needing to carry that much around.

My favorite crossbody right now is either the Louis Vuitton Twice Empreinte bag or the Louis Vuitton Pochette Accessoires. I used to carry the Louis Vuitton Sarria mini quite often, but recently sold that one because I ended up getting a few new crossbody’s.

Backpacks (Concerts, Amusement Parks, Travel) 

 

For me, backpacks are much easier to use in certain situations like concerts and amusement parks. It’s on my back and completely out of the way. I love the Louis Vuitton Montsouris MM backpack for these reasons. This is such a durable bag, and has been with me through several Disney rides and concerts.

 

Handheld Bags (Dinner Parties, Special Events)

 

These days people aren’t into handheld bags as they once were because it’s hard to be hands free with them. I think handheld bags are very ladylike, and think at least one handheld bag in your collection is worth it! The Louis Vuitton Speedy 25 is the perfect handheld bag for me. It fits quite a lot and definitely makes my outfits appear much more elegant. It’s actually a comfortable bag for me, I’ve worn it shopping and other places with no problem. But if that’s an issue for you, it’s definitely the perfect bag to use for dinners or places where you will be able to set it down often if you don’t want to constantly hold it.

 

Everyday Tote Bags (Work, Daily Use)

Of course you gotta have that ‘everyday’ bag that you can just grab and carry everything you need in it. For me, that’s the Louis Vuitton Neverfull PM. I know this bag is too small for the average person, but I’m tiny and it’s the perfect size for everyday. It’s comfortable to wear everywhere – work, shopping, travel, dinner, errands, etc. It’s not too big and not too small. It also fits everything I need. The perfect bag!

 

Travel Bags (Travel tote, Plane rides, or Work tote)

My favorite travel bag would be the Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM. This bag is not only good for travel, but can also be used as a work tote or everyday bag as well. I plan on getting a Neverfull GM soon to use for actual traveling, because the MM can be a little small at times. But it’s perfect as a carry-on in the airplane or for road trips. It fit all of mine and Button’s belongings for our road trip!

 

 

Clutches/Wristlets (Dinner, Special Events, Shopping, Errands)

 

Clutches and wristlets can be used at elegant special events, but also for quick errands or shopping when you want to carry something small. I love to use the Louis Vuitton Mini Pochette and also the Pochette Accessoires as my clutch or wristlet for special events. It gives the whole outfit a more elegant vibe than using it crossbody. Both of these wristlets fit all my basic essentials for special outings like these!
