NYE at the Cypress Tree Tunnel

Outfit Details: Gray Peacoat, Black boots, Faux Fur Trapper Hat

Welcome to Part 2 of our Point Reyes excursion on New Years Eve (Part 1 here)! For the last part of the day during sunset, we stopped at the highly coveted Cypress Tree Tunnel to capture some cool photos. It was absolutely beautiful! The way the trees formed a tunnel and with the light filtering through the branches during sunset was just perfection.

When we arrived, there were still quite a few families taking photos there (probably because of the holiday). Aaron set up his camera on the tripod and by that time people began filtering out. The sun was going down fast, so we had a limited amount of time to capture the right shots.

Snapped some cute behind the scenes shot of the Aarons, and Aaron got some cool video footage and a couple nice shots on his camera as well.

The Cypress Tree Tunnel was actually perfect for photos and photography. I can see why some people have gotten engaged and married here – the background is stunning!

Although it was absolutely freezing this evening, we got through it until it became dark. We stayed about 40 min away for NYE at an extremely nice hotel and chilled for the rest of the night (tired from our hike, haha). But definitely a perfect way to begin the year!

Thank you Aaron B. (@aaronbfkg) for capturing my photos and recommending this place! He’s going to have a lot of new videos and music up on his IG soon, so be sure to follow!
