Windy Hike Attire in Point Reyes

Outfit Details: Gray Peacoat, Louis Vuitton Montsouris MM backpack, Faux Fur trapper hat, Adidas Terrex hiking shoes

Happy New Year! Welcome to the first post of 2019 😉. For New Years Eve, my favorite boys and I decided to head out to Point Reyes, which is a prominent cape in Marin County about 45 miles north of San Francisco.

We stopped by the Point Reyes beach first for a short break from driving and took a few pics. I really liked my peacoat outfit without pants on, but it was extremely windy to not wear pants, haha. After this it was necessary to put some jeans on.

We had plans to visit the lighthouse after the beach stop, but unfortunately it was shut down at this time. We did a good hike over the hills near the lighthouse area though, so that was nice! The wind make it extremely cold though, so Aaron let me use his hat to keep warm, which ended up looking cute for the photos too.

It was also my first time wearing my new Adidas Terrex Hiking shoes, which worked soooo well! They definitely helped me go up and down the terrain flawlessly with no slips!

Super cute wildlife while hiking as well! And so many gorgeous views from the top of the hills too! I especially love this view from the side of the beach:

We got pretty close the lighthouse area as much as we could, but by that time it was 40 min until sunset. We had to head back so we could take photos at the Cypress Tree Tunnel (post coming soon!) before the sun went down!

The first part of the hike back was rough (didn’t think I could make it, was super tired, haha) but it ended up being a good finish and the hike was pretty fun. I wish it wasn’t so windy, but it’s what I expected being surrounded by water. Total wind fail here 😂:

Stick around for Part 2 of our trip to Point Reyes coming next, where we visit the Cypress Tree Tunnel and capture some amazing photos.
