How I Kept Warm and Natural in Nature

Outfit Details: Faux Fur Lined Puffer Jacket, Lauren Conrad Pom Pom Beanie, Bow Gloves, Levi’s Jeans, Uggs Classic Short

This spur of the moment outing to Yosemite was quite the trip to remember πŸ˜‚ It was only snowing on the way to Yosemite right before we reached the Valley, and once we did it became a pretty overcast and foggy day.

It was still pretty cold, and this color block faux fur puffer definitely kept me warm! The faux fur on the interior lining helped a lot, and it made a huge difference in keeping the warmth in.

This outfit was a little mismatched, but for a spur of the moment trip and an incredibly long night with only 2 hours of sleep, I only cared about being warm at that point. Grabbed the first beanie I saw in my closet and picked up these gloves at a CVS on our way out to Yosemite πŸ˜‚

I like to put the Hot Hands hand warmers inside my gloves to make myself even more warm as well, so that’s a must-have for cold weather and trips! The foot warmers to place in your shoe is also a huge help too!

On the way there we hit a fresh patch of snow and our car ended up sliding into a ditch and got stuck sideways, with a tree as the only thing from keeping the car from falling off a 30 ft cliff! After 4 hours of waiting for a tow truck to pull us out, we were back on the road with no sleep and still freaked out about the accident. The only thing that matters is that we are OK and were blessed and saved by a tree.πŸ˜‡

We were debating on if we should still continue our day trip in Yosemite, and at the last minute we decided it wasn’t all for nothing so we kept going. And I’m glad we did because I was able to feel comfortable being natural in nature! Completely free of makeup and spiritually connecting with the earth.

These are probably the first photos I’ve posted with absolutely no makeup on. And I’m loving them!

Although I still can’t believe everything that happened, this trip was still fun and one to remember forever πŸ˜‚ I’m glad we were able to get these cool photos and Aaron even created this amazing video. The song is “Good Time” by Aaron B. which you can stream on Apple music here or Spotify here.

Let me know what you guys think!

Seems as though you had a lovely time though despite the mishap of being stuck in a ditch! And you’re outfit is totally cute!

I always find that when it’s cold it’s best to dress for warmth rather than trying to match everything! But I think you still look super cute! x
