It feels so great to be back on my agenda game!!! I first started using an agenda in 2016 and ended up stopping at the end of 2018. I had a Louis Vuitton regular PM sized agenda, which you can read about my setup here from 2018 (and see my old agenda)! I sold that agenda when I stopped planning, but now that I’ve been styling (www.micalav.com) and having to plan more with clients, I decided I needed an agenda again!
This time I was able to purchase my unicorn 🦄 agenda, the Louis Vuitton Koala Agenda with pink interior! I did get tired of looking at the brown interior in the regular LV agendas, so for this one to have a gorgeous light pink interior, it’s so fun and motivates me to really utilize it and write down my goals.
Back when I used my agenda in 2016 (and before), you would only be able to find these pink Koala agendas for over $400 because they are rare and discontinued. They are still quite rare but much cheaper now, and you can now find one in the $200 range. That’s good for me because I finally have my forever unicorn agenda! 😍
For me personally, I like physically writing in paper planners instead of using my phone calendar. It’s just so much easier than having to get into my phone, which can be a hassle at times maneuvering through. I’ve always been a writer, so jotting down notes and plans is soothing for me as well. It also helps me memorize things much better. Digital is great, but there’s nothing like a good ol’ paper and pen. And as you’ll see, I’m able to store extra credit cards and gift cards in my planner and always have note paper to write in.
In this post I’ll be showing you my new agenda setup! I hadn’t wrote anything down on the pages yet because I wanted to take pics first for this blog post. I still have a lot of the same materials used in my old agenda like the dashboard and dividers I had made with scrapbook paper and my paperclips! Look how chunky she looks, I’m loving the way she looks and feels, haha!
When you first open the agenda, I have the homemade dashboard I made with scrapbook paper and stickers. I have a few paperclips on the left just in case I need them, but they are also for show, haha, they look so cute!
After the dashboard I have my Payment/Expense record sheets, where I write down all my purchases, whether its cash, card, etc. I originally purchased these from Amazon a couple years ago but I couldn’t find them on there anymore in this size. They are available straight from the Handy Forms website here though.
Next is my calendar! This divider I also made from scrapbook paper and stickers. First I have my monthly view, so I can get one full view of the month. I currently have April and May views so I can plan ahead for the next month. I got these calendar inserts from a seller on Mercari, since they were the only place I could find where I would be able to get them in 2 days, haha. (I was eager to start planning!)
After the monthly views, I have my weekly calendar! I have pages of these for probably a good month or so. The rings are pretty small in this agenda, so I can’t keep blank pages of all the weeks in here. So once I fill up a good month I’ll just remove the used portions and replace it with the new blank weeks.
I love the weekly views because there is more space to write in detail for each day of the week.
The inserts also came with hourly pages, where you can schedule your complete day with what you’re doing each hour. These can be helpful when you’re trying to be productive with your day and motivate yourself to really follow your schedule to work out, eat, do laundry, etc.
Next I have To Do pages, where I can write down what I need to do so I don’t forget! I like that they have check boxes so I can check mark what I ended up getting done.
To divide all these pages in the calendar section, I use a pom paperclip and the kitten sticky note page flags.
Scheduling is all out the way now! Next I have a plastic credit card sleeve that holds 4 of my extra credit cards that don’t fit in my wallet. This sleeve can be purchased on Amazon here.
The next plastic sleeve I have is a zippered one where I keep more cards and extra planner stickers! This sleeve came with the calendar refills I bought (but I found it on Amazon here), and I like this one much better than the Filofax one I had last time because that zipper was super big and used up a lot of space. This one is thinner and has a smaller sliding zip.
Last section I have is my notes! Another old scrapbook divider I made, which doubles into a top loading pocket for more stickers, haha.
My first set of notes is this lined graph paper that came with the inserts I bought as well. I use it for sketching clothing designs I plan to make. I recently began sewing and making clothes, and I’ve already designed and made a couple outfits already! This graph paper really helps me draw proportionately, so that’s what I’m using it for! If I’m out and about or waiting and have a design idea, I can easily whip out my agenda and start drawing here.
I have a few Louis Vuitton note paper left from my last agenda, so I just keep these in here! I purchased these from the LV website when I had my last agenda, but I believe they are sold out now on their site now.
Lastly I have some pink lined note paper from Filofax that I got on Amazon here. It’s good to just have regular note paper to write down on!
The end! That’s all that I have in my agenda! Next I’ll just be writing down plans and notes 😀.
I hope you guys enjoyed this post! I highly recommend an agenda if you have a lot to plan or if you love writing notes. If you have an agenda, what’s your favorite part of having one?! Let me know!
