The weather is getting colder day by day (it’s already snowing in Lake Tahoe and Yosemite!), but this particular day was sunny but still chilly. This was the perfect day to whip out the velour-style matching hoodie and biker short set! It still kept me a bit warm, especially after an hour rollerblading! (yes, another skating post – practice makes perfect!)

Matching sets are so cute! I love to wear them when I can, especially because you can interchange them with so many other pieces.

 

 

Because of the sunny day, I wore my Quay Australia sunglasses that I got years ago and attached this pink tortoise acrylic chain gifted to me from MyMazn. This makes it so much easier to wear sunglasses on your neck when you need to remove them, instead of putting on your head. Not to mention they are more stylish and really made this outfit pop! There’s also a clasp to hook onto your face masks, which you can wear the same way! Super versatile. It also comes in a cute gift box! I’ve been using this chain daily on my sunglasses!

 

 

 

Of course while rollerblading I had to wear a backpack!! I recently picked up this vintage Louis Vuitton Montsouris GM and I’ve been LOVING it!!! If you’ve been on my blog for awhile, you may have known I used to have the MM version (see posts here and here). That one was great but I really didn’t like the vachetta straps. On this bigger GM version, it has cloth straps. The front zip pocket is also large enough for easy access to my phone and wallet, unlike the MM version where that pocket was way too small to fit anything.

I always thought the GM would look too big on my small frame, but look how good it looks!? Not overwhelming at all. It also fits my 13″ MacBook Pro so that’s a huge plus for me!

 

 

I really love how fun this outfit is! You can really make a casual look fun and not so boring. Accessories and color play a big part!

The:

-Sunglasses with chain

-Oversized puffball keychain

-Bright colored matching set

all really made a casual outfit pop!

 

 

Also, having a long sleeve layered underneath and poking out the wrists of a sweater or coat will always add extra depth to an outfit. Makes it look like you tried harder than you did! Layered looks will always have that effect, so keep that in mind this winter!
