Recreating Audrey Hepburn’s Outfit in Breakfast at Tiffany’s

I love themed shoots, so being able to recreate one of the most iconic looks in movie history was so fun! Audrey Hepburn stars as Holly Golightly in the 1961 romantic comedy Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Her iconic look in the beginning of the film features a long gorgeous silk dress by Givenchy, along with a prominent necklace and hair tiara comb in her updo. She’s looking through the window at the jewelry store Tiffany & Co. with her coffee and croissant.

I did a modern take on the most iconic Audrey Hepburn look –  thrifting a short black American Apparel dress, Prada pumps, cat eye Quay Australia sunglasses, costume accessories from Amazon, pearl earring studs from Brivee Boutique, and of course a real Tiffany & Co. heart necklace completes the look. I visited Alfred Tea in Melrose for their cute pink cups for this look, along with a croissant!

Location wise, of course I had to do it at the Tiffany & Co. located in Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills! Although it was mid-day, I’m glad there wasn’t many people around – I was able to get cute photos in front of the iconic Rodeo Drive fountain and on the stairs.

This recreation was super fun to put together, and I love that I put my own little modern day twist on it! It looks like a true elegant outfit I could wear out if I had a fancy ball to attend 😂.

I hope you enjoyed this post in honor of the 60’s fashion icon Audrey Hepburn! 💖
